When a cunning nobleman Bevin Conner recruits four orphans to impersonate the king's long-lost son to prevent civil war in a discontented kingdom, a defiant orphan named Sage competes with the others for the role, navigating a world of deceit, danger, hidden identities, and death to the ones who fail. 3 come in, but only 1 gets the crowns. Roles for The false prince

Imogen

A servant girl of Bevin Connor. Her mom sent her to Connor to settle a debt and is now forced into service of him.

Sage

Sage is an orphan boy /thief. He is the main character. He is one of 3 boys competing for the role of Jaron.

Tobias

Tobias is a very mannered, educated orphan boy. He is one of the orphan boys Connor chose

Roden

Roden is the 3rd orphan boy competing in this deceit. He is quick, fast, and strong, but is easily tempted. Roden wants the crown more than anything. and will do more than anything to get it. By any means neccesary

Bevin Connor

Bevin Connor is a nobleman. He poisoned the king, queen, and the older son Darius at supper because the king would not go to war. Now he is searching for a boy to act as prince Jaron to fol the regents.

Amarinda

Amarinda is the princess of Bymar. She was promised to the throne, which was originally Darius, Jaron's older brother, but now that he's dead she is promised to Jaron.

Mott

Mott is another one of Connor's servants. He secretly helps Sage through the tasks at Farthenwood.

Cregan

Cregan is, again, another one of Connor's servants. He isn't as nice as Mott though. He hates Sage, and wants Roden to win. He's very strict and cruel in his classes

Lord Veldergrath

Lord Veldergrath is one of the regents at the castle. He has been trying to get the throne. He is one of the reasons why Bevin Connor needs a prince Jaron
